Ope on päälle 40, n. vuoden vanhan lapsen isä, pidetty ope. Ei ole koskaan tupakoinut, elää terveellisesti.

Perjantaina tulee ope koululla käymään. Siitä sitten ajatus lähti. Ekaksi tuli mieleen tämä Edwin. Sitten kurkkasin, josko löytyisi kiva malli kortille. Löytyi. Kun aloin korttia kasata, ajattelin kokeilla, josko onnistuisi toinenkin haaste. Onnistui.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie # 17 - The Sketch
StampARTic - 10 leimasinta (tai enemmän) kortin etusivulla
10 stamps (or more) on the front of the card

Edwinin siivet leikkasin pois, koska mun mielestä olisi aika hirveää antaa enkelinsiipinen kortti jollekin, jolla kyseinen sairaus on.

My older son's teacher has been on a sick leave for a two weeks now. Yesterday we learned that (he went to a doctor because of his cough) he has a lung cancer. No other symptoms.
He's 40 something, a father of about one year old, well liked teacher. Hasn't ever smoked, lives healthy.

On Friday he visits school and from there the idea started. First I thought of this Edwin. Then I looked for a nice sketch. Found it. When I started to put the card together, I tried if I could manage to do another challenge at the same time. I managed.
My own stamps are only Edwin, the background and the books.

When I made the card I didn't have my computer on so I put it together by memory (which isn't too good) so that's why there's no other paper or the text (that wouldn't have room anyway).

Tomorrow (when I first go to sleep and wake up) I'll probably make a matching candle and a candy bag/pouch (?!). I don't think he'll be at the end-of-term celebration this spring. Substitute teacher comes next Monday.

The stamps/stamped images I used (all Magnolia):

- background
- Edwin
- books
- log
- two different clouds
- three different flowers
- tree

I didn't wanna make it too full 'cause it's for a man. And I'm so sorry but I really had to cut Edwin's wings off. I thought it would be quite horrible to give a card with (angel)wings to someone with that disease.
And I'm sure he's not familiar with any kinda rubber stamps so he doesn't know those wings just belong to the image.

Added later: here's the whole trio I made.
